Praise Mountain

Welcome to the Mountain

We're looking forward to welcoming you to Praise Mountain.

For more than thirty years, people have come here seeking a quiet place to pray, reflect, worship, fast, and simply step away from the demands of everyday life. We hope this guide helps you prepare for your stay so that when you arrive, you can settle in, breathe deeply, and enjoy your time on the mountain.

Before You Arrive

There is no need to check in when you arrive.

Your cabin will be ready after 3:00 PM, and you are welcome to proceed directly there. Your confirmation email will include your cabin assignment, entry code, and additional arrival information. Departure time is 12:00 p.m. Earlier arrivals and later departures may be available upon request.

What to Bring

To help us keep costs low, we ask guests to bring:

  • Bedding and pillows
  • Towels
  • Seasonal clothing
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • A flashlight or headlamp
  • Any medications or personal items you may need during your stay

Each cabin page includes details about the amenities provided in your specific cabin.

The Spirit of Praise Mountain

For more than thirty years, Praise Mountain has been a place set apart for prayer, reflection, fasting, worship, and spiritual renewal.

Guests come from many different churches and walks of life, united by a shared desire to step away from the ordinary and make space to encounter God.

The spiritual practice of fasting has long been part of the spiritual heritage of the mountain. Each guest is encouraged to engage this practice according to their own convictions, traditions, and physical needs, in ways that deepen their attentiveness to God.

As you spend time on the mountain, we simply ask that you help preserve the quiet and peaceful atmosphere that has blessed generations of those who have come seeking God by approaching your stay with openness, expectation, and grace.

Your Time on the Property

Guests are welcome to enjoy:

  • Walking trails
  • Prayer caves
  • The chapel
  • Forest and meadow spaces
  • Quiet places for prayer and reflection

The cabins are intentionally spaced throughout the property to provide privacy and solitude. We simply ask that you respect the quiet of neighboring guests during your stay.

Wildlife & Mountain Conditions

Praise Mountain is located at nearly 9,000 feet in the Colorado mountains.

Wildlife is a regular part of life here. During your stay, you may see deer, elk, foxes, coyotes, ground squirrels, hawks, pronghorn antelope, moose, and many other native species. Bears also occasionally pass through the property. Feel free to say hello to our resident llamas and alpacas.

Mountain weather can change quickly. Even during the summer months, mornings and evenings may be cool, so we recommend bringing layers.

Staying Connected

Cell service is limited throughout the property and varies by location and carrier. Many guests appreciate the opportunity to step away from constant connectivity and embrace the gift of quiet.

Supporting the Ministry

Praise Mountain is a nonprofit ministry supported entirely through the generosity of those who stay here and those who believe in its mission. While the suggested donation is $35 per night, each guest is welcome to give according to their circumstances and desire to support the ministry.

Donations may be made securely online before or during your stay, or by cash or check in the donation box located in your cabin.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I arrive after dark?

Yes. Your confirmation email will include your cabin information and entry code, allowing you to arrive whenever is most convenient.

Can I switch cabins after making a reservation?

Because cabins are often reserved several weeks in advance, changes are rarely available once a reservation has been confirmed. To help us steward the property well and accommodate as many guests as possible, cabins are generally assigned according to the size of each reservation.

Is WiFi available?

Wi-Fi is not available in the cabins, and cell service is limited throughout the property.

For those who wish to access online Bible studies, worship music, or other spiritual resources, Wi-Fi is available in the chapel. Many guests find the cabins offer a welcome opportunity to step away from constant connectivity and embrace the gift of quiet.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome in accordance with applicable law. If you have a special circumstance, please contact us before making a reservation.

Are children welcome?

Praise Mountain is intentionally designed as a quiet place for prayer, reflection, and spiritual renewal. Families are welcome to contact us before booking so we can help determine whether the property is an appropriate setting for their visit.
